Kidney Stone Treatment

If you have calcium oxalate stones, a new “lemon-aid” treatment adds citrate to your urine and helps keep the stones from forming and growing. The treatment is as follows: Put 4 oz. of “real lemon” (in a small green bottle in your grocery store) in 2 liters of spring water and drink 2-3 liters every 24 hours. (if you weigh 150 lbs., drink 2 liters. If you weigh 200 lbs., drink 3 liters). You may add Sweet & Low to sweeten. Avoid using sugar.

Premature Ejaculation

This occurs in nearly all men at some time during their sexual life. It is common among newly active males and decreases with sexual maturity and experience. There is no medication that is FDA approved for premature ejaculation. The class of drugs known as SSRIs have been used “off label” to prolong ejaculation. Dr. Boone frequently prescribes Prozac, Paxil, or Zoloft for use two hours prior to intercourse or on a daily basis if intercourse is frequent. For more information, see WebMD.
