About Dr. Boone

Dr. Martha Boone

Board Certified Urologist

Dr. MB - 16 WebI enjoy being a urologist. I look forward to going to my office to see what progress has been made by my patients. I revel in our successes and I enjoy working through tough problems, when necessary.

I believe that the human body has amazing healing potential, but it occasionally needs a little help from modern medicine.

Urology is an interesting area of surgery with a plethora of great technology.

My days are always interesting in that I see men, women, and adolescents from 15 years of age and above. I see many different disease states that manifest in the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, vagina, penis, urethra, and pelvic floor. When I open the door to see a patient, I never know what will await me. Being a urologist is a little like being a detective with many tools. And, there is always a patient helped when the mystery is solved.

When I decided to become a urologist, there were fewer than 40 women urologists in the world. So, I have been a bit of a trail blazer. There are several hundred women urologists now.

I was fortunate to have the best education! I attended the college of Charleston for 4 years. I did my Post Graduate Training at Tulane University Medical School and Fellowship at the University of California, Davis.

I am blessed with a lovely family, great friends, and fun hobbies. But, my greatest passion, commitment, and joy in my life have been the privilege of being a urologist.

I always consider it an “honor” when someone chooses me as their urologist.

When I walked across the stage to receive my diploma to practice medicine, the person giving our graduation speech quoted from Luke 12:48. “From everyone who has been given much, MUCH will be required; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, EVEN MORE will be asked.” I have taken those words very seriously, every day of my professional career.

My wonderful team and I would appreciate the opportunity to serve you with all of your urologic needs.
